Shang Palace at Shangri-La’s Tanjung Aru Resort & Spa announced the launch of its new menu, making it the first the first dining outlet in a five-star hotel here in Kota Kinabalu, offering live seafood.
Created by Shang Palace’s Chef Chua Chee Seng and his culinary team, the revamped menu features live fish, shells and prawns that diners choose from aquariums just outside the restaurant.

The halal-certified restaurant will also include new dim sum dishes introduced by a guest chef from Dalian, China, recently.
Malaysian-born Chua has more than 20 years experience as a chef. He has won numerous awards including international championships and has worked for various five star hotels in Malaysia. Specialising in seafood, Chua’s contribution to the menu includes various seafood creations using locally sourced sustainable ingredients.
