We travel around Sabah extensively and we always love to experience the old Kopitiam which has slowly vanish at Kota Kinabalu. One of our favorite old Kopitiam is Kedai Kopi Kun Sang at Keningau. Kun Sang is the must-visit eatery in Keningau whenever we are in town as they serve the best Youtiao (Chinese Fried Dough) or locally known as you char kwai (old fried ghost)
Kun Sang is located at the last remaining row of the wooden shop in Keningau town (Next to Mee Woo Supermarket. The wall is decorated with posters and photos from the 80s. The shop is now managed by the 3rd generation.
The fried dough is prepared fresh every day by the owner.
Freshly fried dough serve with kopi-o. The best combination for breakfast.
Kun Sang is also famous for their fried noodle. Served with a generous portion of cha siu and fried with pork lard. Porkilicious!
My kind of snacks, kopi – o and yao char kwai.
If you looking for the old taste and old Kopitiam, drop by Kun Sang if you are in Keningau.
