“Glamorous camping” or more commonly known as glamping is now in Sabah. Cabana Retreat, Malaysia’s first Pop-Up Beach Resort provide comfortable and stylish camping beside Rampayan Beach at Kota Belud.
Cabana Retreat is about 1.5-hour drive away from Kota Kinabalu and 20 minutes from Kota Belud Town center. An Rm5 entrance fee is chargeable for non-stay in guest and they can redeem a soft drink at Fuga Dining & Bar by the beachside.
There are 5 types of tents to choose from. Price starting from RM210 per night. Free bottled water and toiletries are provided. Every room is equipped with air conditioning and Wifi. The tents are fully furnished with one queen size bed, pillows, fresh linens and quilt for extra comfort.
The best time to check in is in the late evening as the rooms may be too warm during the afternoon.
There are also tons of activities to do at Cabana Retreat. ATV and bicycle are provided if you feeling adventurous. Those come in a group can play beach volleyball, relax by the hammock, BBQ, and stargazing at night.
