If you happen to stay at the town and looking for a place to hang out, Balin Roofgarden is your best bet. Located on top of Nak Hotel (9th floor), Balin Roofgarden offers a lovely view of Sandakan town overlooking the sea with great atmosphere and good food. Get into the lift at Nak Hotel and climb 2 flight of stairs and we reached Balin roof garden. The best time to come here is during the sunset hour. Service is a bit slow but who cares as we indulge ourselves with the view of Sandakan town. Don’t miss it if you want to eat western food in a wonderful atmosphere for reasonable prices.
